Abstract:

Altermagnets are novel magnetic materials with spin-split bandstracture. I will begin with an introduction to altermagnets, followed by a discussion of transport across a junction of altermagnets with normal metals. Then, I will discuss the phenomenon of crossed Andreev reflection and how it can be enhanced in altermagnets. If time permits, crossed Andreev reflection in p-wave magnets will be discussed.
